David Seaman FCA

Founder & Director

Proactive, informal and with a common sense approach, David is a Chartered Accountant who, since 2002, has specialised as a Part Time & Interim Finance Director and Business Advisor. Using a hands on approach and the considerable experience gained from both SMEs and PLCs, David loves making sense of chaos and focusing on improving cash flow and  your bottom line.

After taking the decision to leave  London corporate life in 2002,  David took up the opportunity to set up his own advisory practice, Three Lines, combining his style, passion and experience for sound financial management and the crucial communication of  finances. All businesses need a strong Finance Director, but not every business needs a full time one.

David has worked in many sectors with projects ranging from interim through to those lasting more than a decade. Projects have included:

  • Businesses with Grand Ambitions – Where the Directors felt some professional guidance was required to take the business to the next level.
  • Businesses with Growing Pains – The Directors knew some specialist input was required. For example, they  had no idea where the business finances  were  and no longer felt in control.
  • Directors with concerns who were Worried –   they never had any cash at the end of the month  and  their gut feel  was that the business  was already in decline. We had to take serious steps  before  decline  became terminal.
  • Business in Turmoil – When they realised that they had financial problems with suppliers and  their bank being unfriendly and uncooperative and sometime, where it was already too late to save the business.
